Invisalign
Invisalign is an amazing technology that straighten teeth. Many people are very happy to hear that there is another wonderful option besides traditional braces that will straighten their teeth. With Invisalign, you won't have to worry about not being able to brush you teeth clean, because you can take the aligner off when you are brushing your teeth. Once you brush your teeth nice and clean, you can pop the aligner back onto your teeth, so you have less chance to get cavities. Invisalign trays are quite comfortable to wear, and depending on how fast your teeth move, you will usually get a new set of trays between one to two weeks. Your teeth will gradually and gently move toward the direction our experienced dentists and orthodontist designed for you.

What is the best age for braces?
Age is not an issue. What you desire is! General, the American Association of Orthodontists(AAO) recommend a consultation at the age of 7. But for most people, the best time for treatment is still around 12 or 13. At Westerville Dental Center, we have experienced orthodontists on board, and we check our patients regularly so that we can pick the best time to start your treatment. Am I too old for braces?
It is never too late to do braces. Age is not an issue. What you desire and deserve is more important. Mone did her braces with us when she was 60 years old, and she was so thrilled about it. Now 5 years later, the only regret she had was that she didn't do it early

Do I need to brush more often when wear braces?
Yes, with braces or Invisalign, you should brush your teeth at least three times a day after every meal to keep your teeth and gum clean. Braces does make it more difficult to brush, but with diligent brushing, you can keep your teeth clean and healthy. At our practice, we check you regularly to make sure you are doing the right job to keep your teeth clean during orthodontic treatment and there after, so you can enjoy a life long beautiful smile.
Do I need to do check ups every 6 month?
Yes, absolutely! With braces or Invisalign, they do make it more difficult to brush your teeth, hence you are at higher risk for cavities. Since we do general dentistry too at our office, we can check you conveniently and more often, we recommend a cleaning and fluoride every three month to help you fight cavities.
